Band Profile

Wednesday After is a all-male Filipino band composed of members hailing from De la Salle University, Manila. The band consists of Junno(rhythms, vocals), Pat (vocals), Glenn(bass, vocals), Lean(lead), and Arlu(drummer). They are often referred to as "The band that came from Taft."

Coming from humble beginnings, the band unexpectedly never thought of going so far. They played just because they liked it but then after realizing that more and more people had to listen to their music, they decided to perform and share their music to a bigger audience.

The band plays fun and easy-to-listen-to music which tell tales of the band members' and their friends' experiences of what it was like to have walked the streets of Taft Avenue. With friends and acquaintances from all walks of life, the band boasts of being able to write songs that are witty, heart-warming, and easy-to-relate to. Their music talks bluntly about the imperfections of the relationships we make in the life we live in.

With catchy tunes ranging from solid alternative rock to punk rock and modern pop rock, the band describes their music as Pogi punk rock, a modern day infectious fusion of rock genres that assures to put a smile on anyone's face after listening to it.

Band History

The band was originally consisted by Junno, Pat, Buch, and Glenn and was named BrewD N' BoTLd because original members formed the band out of drinkin sessions @ Greenplace and The Beach... Due to school matters, Buch, the drummer, had to leave the band. The remaining members then acquired Arlu as the new drummer and Lean, as the Lead guitarist, and decided to change their band name to "Coldplace", a named coined from a literally chilling and unforgettable experience during the first ever Nescafe Soundskul Summer Camp. They took the band seriously practicing everyweek and performing in popular bars around the metro such as RJ Bar Makati, Mag:net Bar Bonifacio High Street and Katipunan, 6 Underground Ortigas and many more. The band even performed during the latest DLSU culmination night as a tribute to the place where they all first got together.

Tough trials such as balancing school, work, and social obligations, and some mishaps often tested the band's strength and dedication to stay together. Although they we're receiving positive feedback from their performances, people we're very skeptical whether the band's name "Coldplace" was fit for the band, taking into account that it sounded very close to a very popular international band whose music was very much different from theirs.

It was then decided on early June of 2009 that the band bid farewell to their old name and welcomed a new name that actually meant something and connected the band members.

Wednesday After was born.

Armed with faith in their own music, love for OPM and Lasallian Pride, Wednesday After, an all-Lasallite band, shares within their music, real life experiences of Lasallites, friends and the band members themselves to all audiences.
